Pumpkin Patch 2009

Piersolls, party of 4, Piersolls, party of 4. Camdyn, Chloe, Chris and Carol.

Mr and Mrs Brester and Family. Jadyn cheesin' out

This Sunday was our annual trip to Fruitville Groves Pumpkin Patch. The Alcalas, Piersolls and Bresters, along with all the wittle ones of course, went to the Pumpkin Patch for our traditional pumpkin picking trip. Of course we enjoyed a pony ride, tractor ride, train ride, the petting zoo and some good food. The weather cooperated, for sure, as it was tolerable to be out there. Last year the weather was dreadfully hot, but we had nothing to complain about this year.

Avery deciding which pumpkin he shall take home to carve......hmmmmm, tough decision.

Creaky Bones 5K

Saturday, October 17th, Carol, Jamie and I ran a 5K at Payne Park in Sarasota. This was a race to benefit The Arthritis Foundation. Luckily, we were blessed with a cool front so the weather was in the mid 70s, which was a much welcomed change from the mid 90s we have had the past few months. It was a great day for running. Our hubbys came along with the kids to cheer us on.

Camden, Jadyn and Avery playing in this pile of dirt they found and could NOT resist it.

Another Haircut

October 10, 2009 - Haircut day for AAA. Mimi Pancoast already gave Avery his first haircut. However, we were past due for another haircut, so we had to go to plan B since Mimi won't be back to Florida until December. Saturday we took Avery to get a trim at First Choice Haircutters. At first he was just curious. But by the end, he was ready to go.

Waiting for our turn. Snack time. (the before shot)
In the chair with mom and ready to go.

"Whatchu doin to my hair, lady?"

"Can you guys hurry, I'm getting tired."

Who wants to go for a run?

Who says kids don't understand what their parents say? Well, the picture below is proof that Triple A knows EXACTLY what I'm saying. Today I told Avery we are going to go to the park so mommy can run, he rushed right into our bedroom grabbed daddy's tennis shoe, put it on and was ready to go. Now, if only I can get him to do the running and push me in the stroller we will be all set.

"Ready to go, mom. Grab me a bottle of water please and a towel to wipe the sweat. Thanks."

Oh Happy Day!!!

Today Avery and I HAD to take advantage of the gorgeous weather Sarasota is experiencing right now. So, we packed a lunch, grabbed some buckets and shovels and went to the beach. Anyone who lives in Sarasota or has visited Sarasota knows what a nice beach we are lucky to have access to. It was a great day!!!

Below is info on Siesta Key Beach: Check it out.

Siesta Beach is located on Beach Road on Siesta Key. Siesta Beach is known as one of the most beautiful beaches anywhere in the world. At the "Great International White Sand Beach Challenge" held in 1987, it was recognized as having the "whitest and finest sand in the world."Unlike beaches elsewhere that are made up mostly of coral, Siesta Beach's sand is 99% quartz. Even on the hottest days, the sand is so reflective that it feels cool underfoot. It's estimated that the sand on Siesta Beach is millions of years old, and started in the Appalachians and flowed down the rivers and was eventually deposited on the shores of Siesta Key.Shallow water depth in the near shore area together with year round lifeguard protection, makes this one of the safest beaches in the County and great for small children.

Neat, Huh?
